Mount Merbuk

Mount Merbuk is one of the many mountains in Bali where visitors can go hiking and is also part of the West Bali National Park. The mountain’s proximity to the National Park offers visitors a great opportunity to view the gorgeous landscape from above and below. The mountain sits 1386 metres above sea level. it is advisable only do the hike in the early hours of the morning as temperatures rise significantly through the day. So hiking at sunrise makes not just for a beautiful visual experience, it will also be far more comfortable with temperatures in the low 20 degrees Celsius. You can get to the park via car or motorbike from the northern coast road via Lovina (90 mins) or Pemuteran (15 mins). If travelling from the south, you can travel via Gilimanuk (about 15 minutes).

Mount Bratan

Bratan is a large caldera of unknown age in north-central Bali, Indonesia. It measures 11 x 6 km and contains 3 lakes - Danau Tamblimgam, Danau Buyan, and Danau Bratan. The area is know of its scenic beauty and hot springs. Background: The Bratan caldera (also known as Catur or Tjatur caldera or the Buyan-Bratan volcanic complex) is surrounded by several younger stratovolcanoes on its southern rim, all densely vegetated and believed not to have erupted for hundreds or even thousands of years. Mount Agung

Mount Agung or Gunung Agung is a volcano in  Bali  in  Indonesia , located south east of  Mt Batur  volcano, also in Bali. Gunung Agung  stratovolcano  is the highest point on Bali. It dominates the surrounding area, influencing the climate, especially rainfall patterns. Balinese  believe that Mt Agung is a replica of  Mt Meru , the central axis of the universe. One legend holds it that the mountain is a fragment of Meru brought to Bali by the first  Hindus . The most important temple on Bali,  Pura Besakih , is located high on the slopes of Gunung Agung. [4] Gunung Agung last erupted in 1963–1964. It is still active with a large and very deep crater which occasionally belches smoke and ash.
